SunLife Angel Tree Program 2014

On Sunday, December 14, approximately 200 residents from the SunLife RV Resort came together to present their Angel Tree gifts that they had purchased for children who The Salvation Army in Mesa help. During the program, a group of children from our Corps sang, a smaller group performed a beautiful dance to the song “Silent Night,” the Mesa Citadel Band played Christmas carols, and Major Candi shared a special devotional reminding us all to choose joy this Christmas season so that we can share our joy with the world. These residents donated 120 gifts to the Angel Tree, as well as a monetary donation to the Salvation Army in Mesa. We are blessed by our relationship with those in this community as we keep working together to help provide for children in Mesa so that they are able to receive a Christmas present this year. After the program, the residents and their guests enjoyed lemonade and cookies together. The residents said that they truly enjoyed having these children come and the kids enjoyed sharing their talent with the seniors. Because of Jesus’ love, this activity makes our community relationships stronger.
